Fantastic $30 Map-Making Software Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

After a brief run earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back with an encore available until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the complete package is valued at over $1,300. The Main Attraction

The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade mapping application that can be used to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and most notably, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Basic Package

The cheapest bundle tier, starting at just one dollar, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-product collection for at least $15 is where things get more interesting by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and various other tools. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from multiple angles. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials covering cartography techniques.

Every volume from the Annual series come with this bundle, plus numerous additional tools and content enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: battle maps, underground complexes, cities, and continents in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously more advantageous for cartography beginners since it includes the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The one caveat here is that while the purchase is available on any platform, the applications only function with Windows systems.
