Football Expert Sutton Takes On Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' ten-match winning streak was ended by the Black Cats before the international break, however can the Premier League leaders recover against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a range of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

The singer's latest record, the new release, is available on Friday.

Football and Parenting Life

Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of several Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a player.

"{I recently played in a benefit game the other night for a friend of mine," he said. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or son decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their weekend football team," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a period too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our team for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from fitness issues but their attack is already more potent with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this game will be fairly tight, though. Burnley are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

It suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their previous couple matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear competitive again.

West Ham's sole on the road victory this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's coach.

So, what on earth do I predict here - can the Hammers extending their streak under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Villa was a blip.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign started, but they have impressed a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four matches.

My son told me to get Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great fortune on the road this season, and the Seagulls are always decent at their stadium. The visitors will try to attack on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

Olly's view: This could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many goals but it in reality turns out to be rather close. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge game for Fulham, who have lost five of their last six games.

They have have plenty of quality in their squad but it nonetheless feels like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.

Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.

The away side's display in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not seen anyone else rough up the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the close of last month.

However I am not going to choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good results because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Considering the home side's home record, the sole side they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be absolutely desperate for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will pick up three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's choice: I know Sunderland are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a poor run... but Fulham have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but could they be among the teams who benefit from the {international break|
