Major Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating attacks in the past few days

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to blackouts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were wounded while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and faced interruptions to water systems, per reports from city officials.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was killed in a separate assault in the southeastern region in the southern area, according to area administrators.

Moscow has intensified strikes on electrical systems over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "concrete actions" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the United States, European nations and the major economies - in providing defensive weapons and applying penalties," mentioned in a public message.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty rockets attacked the country's power systems, describing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were working to restore power.

A barrage of missiles hit electrical systems and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Several of the people hurt in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to city authorities.

Local officials said the metropolitan region experienced significant strikes during nighttime hours. A minor was killed and multiple civilians were hurt.

The attacks succeed periods of aerial attacks in the territory, sections of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

The entire country is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to spot.

National leaders told reporters that Moscow was purposely seeking to damage the country's energy grid, with strikes already disrupting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and authorities were anticipating additional strikes.
