The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a vehicle crash in California aged 55.
Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.
The celebrated game designer lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a highway in LA on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is an unimaginable loss, and we stand with his family and friends, his family, and everyone impacted by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts said.
