The Two Fatalities Named in the Ivy League School Shooting as Authorities Press On With Search for Killer.

Both young individuals who were killed in the recent violent attack at Brown University had tributes paid to them on Monday – while an intensive search for their killer persisted following the discharge by Rhode Island officials of the single suspect questioned in the case.

Remembering Ella Cook

The young woman Ella Cook, a second-year student from Alabama, was remembered as “a wonderful, steady, devout, shining presence”, as stated by the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Birmingham, which paid tribute to her at a service on Sunday.

She served as second-in-command of Brown’s branch of the College Republicans organization, according to the organization. The White House press secretary also expressed condolences on social media, stating: “There are no words. Remembering her family and friends, particularly her mother and father.”

An International Student

The second fatality was an Uzbek national named MukhammadAziz Umurzokov, a citizen of Uzbekistan in his initial year at the renowned school, his family confirmed.

His name was officially acknowledged by Uzbekistan’s foreign ministry.

“He was exceptionally gentle, witty, and bright. He harbored grand aspirations of becoming a neurosurgeon and assisting patients,” his sister, Samira Umurzokova said in a tribute.

The Shooting Incident

An additional nine individuals were hurt in the weekend shooting in the engineering building of Brown’s grounds in Providence, during the institution's end-of-term tests.

Law enforcement reported on Sunday evening that a 24-year-man taken into custody in a search at a lodging about around 27 kilometers from the university earlier in the day was released from custody.

“We have a murderer out there,” declared Peter Neronha, Peter Neronha.

Neronha explained, “Investigations can lead one way, and then you must reassess and head another way, and that’s exactly what has happened over the last day or so.”

Law enforcement that raided the inn seized two handguns and two loaded 30-round magazines when the individual was taken into custody, according to reports.

Condition of the Injured

Of the nine hurt, a single scholar was allowed to go home, stated Christina Paxson, Christina Paxson. Seven others were in serious yet stable state, and one was in critical condition, authorities stated on Sunday.

An American diplomat, Jonathan Henick, said he was “profoundly grieved” by the passing of Umurzokov in a message. “Our profound condolences go out to his relatives, loved ones, and peers and mourn the loss of his bright future.”
