NFL 2025 season: Week six

Real-time updates includes text commentary for the weekend matchups via various channels, beginning with Denver Broncos v New York Jets at Tottenham (from 14:00 BST). Also, radio commentary can be heard through select stations for another key matchup (from 21:00 BST).

We're in the sixth week of the NFL season , after last week's talk about two top teams being possible championship contenders, each surrendered their unbeaten records.

Notable during those contests was the amount of penalties both conceded. Philadelphia did so at crucial times meaning they kind of defeated themselves having led by two touchdowns going into the fourth period against Denver, who play overseas this weekend.

However it was positive to see that Denver's QB the rookie was able to overcome the shortfall before lead three scoring drives in three attempts in the fourth quarter, to win the game 21-17.

The Broncos boast the defensive player of the year in CB their star corner. They rank first in goal-line defense, whereas the Eagles lead the league in red zone offence, and the Broncos prevailed in that battle.

They executed the Eagles' number regarding disguised blitzes. They did not always rushing more than four defenders instead they might plug two LBs in the interior before drop them out and dispatch a nickel off the edge.

At the start of the season, we said on a program how Denver might emerge as the current year's dark horses. They ended last season well and excelled of building upon that.

Are the Denver Broncos this season's dark horses?

Recently acquired TE their tight end has excelled significantly and new RB JK Dobbins is a guy they believe in. He now ranks fifth in the NFL for rushing yards (over 400) as well as tied-fourth for rushing touchdowns (four).

I love how head coach the Broncos' leader has "RUN IT!" at the top on his call sheet.

That shows how the Broncos are a team that wants to run first, since one can do a lot off the back of that. It reduces down the pass rush and maintains in positive situations.

This has benefited quarterback the young passer, who entered into the league as a first-round selection in the prior draft, throwing 29 TDs – just behind a star QB for the rookie record (31 in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert have the arm strength to throw all over, however they lack in the same way as Nix. He boasts incredible arm talent, a unique trait, plus he is highly agile.

His assets are his mobility, being able to pass while moving, and using varied release points to make the pass as he moves out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He can deliver that layered pass over the middle or past defenders.

As a rookie QB, aged 25, he's got great composure in the pocket and isn't bothered by the blitz. He aims to avoid a sack as much as possible and is able throw under pressure. He possesses sharp intelligence and remains very decisive.

If you consistently run the ball it consumes time and makes the defence to stay on the field for longer, and when you have an athletic quarterback the defence must defend the area downfield side to side. It can be draining.

Nix has pushed back with the coach during games at times and it seems the coach appreciates that fire, that he's a fierce rival. I think it's fun for the coach to have a rookie QB who's similar to play-dough. He can truly build something up how he wants to build it. I believe it's a special experience for him.

The head coach has won a Super Bowl and has surpassed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173, tying for 14th). He has witnessed it all. I think the achievements the Broncos are experiencing on offence is largely due to his guidance, his play-calling, his game sense – and the combination with the QB helps make him what he is.

There's no better a better guy in your ear, to help you through some of the tougher situations and build confidence.

I believe in the Broncos' defense, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. But is the team strong enough to go against a top squad at its best? Since that was not a Super Bowl performance by the Eagles in their last game.

Right now, I don't think the Broncos are incredible. They're working above average, that's a good place to hold the AFC West. The key is is maintain this trajectory.

They're really good at leaning into their forte, that is the ground game, and that's exactly what they must do against the Jets in London. It will likely be a Dobbins-focused game, in essence.

The Jets have allowed 140 yards on the ground each contest (sixth worst), five ground scores this season (10th worst), and they're the only team without a win any game.

Ever since the league started recording takeaways in 1933, the Jets are also the first team to be without a single takeaway in five outings, this is surprising considering that the head coach Aaron Glenn defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.

Patrick Mahomes stated Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' following Monday's defeat to Jacksonville.

After the upcoming matchup, Denver face a smooth-ish schedule until their bye (in week 12) - the Giants, the Cowboys, Houston Texans plus the Raiders before the Chiefs.

Looking at their division, the Chiefs hold a losing record and the Broncos are tied with the Los Angeles Chargers at 3-2 so they could challenge at leading the West.

This hinges on which form of the Chiefs they face since the Broncos {beat|def
